SATAs 2025
On the evening of 21 November 2025, The Pamodzi Hotel in Lusaka came alive as 120 guests gathered to honour extraordinary leadership and courage in the global fight against human trafficking at the third annual Sisters’ Anti-Trafficking Awards (SATAs). Hosted by the Arise Foundation in partnership with the International Union of Superiors General (UISG) and the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, the event celebrated the remarkable work of Catholic Sisters whose unwavering commitment has transformed lives and strengthened communities worldwide.
An Evening of Celebration, Reflection, and Global Solidarity
The awards were introduced by Cardinal Stephen Brislin, Archbishop of Johannesburg, via a powerful video address that set the tone for the evening’s emphasis on dignity, justice, and compassionate leadership. A roundtable discussion featuring global advocates amplified voices from across continents, reinforcing the vital role of women leaders in combating human trafficking and systemic injustices that foster exploitation.
